Third Sunday of Lent:
Stephen is leading the 10am service and Gavin is leading the Elevate service at 11.30am
Both will be speaking on Exodus 3:1-15 – The Call of Moses.

The 10am service will include a time of remembrance and reflection for those who have suffered over the course of the pandemic.

At Elevate we will focus in on God’s call of Moses, God’s name, and the aspect of his character it reveals, and God’s equipping, how he sends us out into the world equipped for the things that he calls us to do. It will be a family service.

Please note that Coffee/Tea is served for everyone between the services in the Upper Room. If you are attending the 11.30 service. Please come early to give yourself enough time.

Two services at 10:00 and 11:30 both with Holy Communion and led by Rev. Stephen Taylor

As a church, we welcome the lifting of restrictions in the hopeful expectation that the worst effects of the pandemic are behind us and that the risk of serious illness following infection is considerably reduced.
However, we are also mindful that a small risk remains, and that there may be vulnerable people attending church worship and other activities.
In keeping with Government advice and MCI guidelines, DMC will observe the following:

  • Face coverings are not mandatory, but are encouraged, especially while moving around the building.
  • Regular hand washing/sanitising is encouraged
  • Seating will be spaced out around the hall, but people are free to move chairs closer together as they feel comfortable
  • Rooms will be ventilated with an open window
  • Catering of food and drink is permitted
  • Leaders of church groups will determine what measures should be in place for their activity

As ever, please do not attend church meetings if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for Covid in the last 7 days.

Our Irish Methodist family has been shocked to see the violent invasion of Ukraine and the heart-breaking plight of its people. Many in our congregation will wish to respond in some way.
We can do this through Irish Methodist World Relief and Development.
PRAYER
A Prayer for Peace was read last week. You can view it here.
GIVING
We have been advised by those responding on the ground, that financial support is currently the priority (not material things, although partners will inform us should this change).
This will enable our sister churches to respond to refugee needs. They have already begun this.
Some funds can also be channelled to meet needs within Ukraine itself.
This financial support will be sent through our sister churches in the region.
WDR encourages Irish congregations to receive donations during the month of March and send all monies to WDR by the end of the month.
This is an emergency. Please do not delay in sending donations.
As time goes on, we can see what support is needed and where it is needed in the longer term.
Open this link to see how you can make a donation by bank transfer, or use this JustGiving link for the Ukraine Emergency Appeal.
NB – all donations, no matter how they are sent, must reference your church and UKRAINE.
